Wine Club
Ground offers a fantastic range of New Zealand and International wines in-store.
A large number of our New Zealand wines are sourced directly from the vineyards, to make it easy for us all to enjoy wines that may not always be easily accessible. From this range we select firstly within Waipara and greater Canterbury and then from around the country.
Our international wine selection is based on the best regions for the best grapes. A 'good Australian Clare Valley Shiraz is hard to beat'. We look for old world Rieslings and Muller Thurgau in Austria or Germany. We compliment our New Zealand reds with those big and bold Spanish reds and stock the very impressive French and Italian bubbles, and still there are many more.
With a selection like Ground's it is not all about the most expensive money can buy, it is about what wonderful wines our local vineyards can produce, and international wines chosen because of their regions. What better way to showcase this interesting and hard to find range but with our Wine Evenings.
Each of Ground's monthly wine tastings feature a different theme, be it a region, a grape variety or a genre. We choose the wines, provide the wine aficionado, a tasty treat prepared in-house and a relaxed atmosphere all for you to enjoy.
Come along for an evening as a casual visitor or join our wine club for a year's membership - $15 for Casuals and $60 for a year's membership of 12 tastings.
Our next Wine Club is to be held on Thursday 19th August at 6.30 pm where Riverby Estate's wine maker Kevin Courtney, is presenting a large selection from the Riverby Estate in Blenheim. There will be 14 different wines with lots of yummy nibbles included.

Remember bookings are essential for this. Because of the large selection on offer the cost for this evening is slightly increased to $20pp for casuals, and an extra $5 pp for Wine Club members.
